Palawan Adventure!
Saturday, April 16, 2011, < 9:28 AM
After days of feeding my unicorn,I finally get to blog again!

Originally, we were aiming for Davao (since it is my mom's friend's wedding on the 8th)but then mom had a major operation so we couldn't go there on that particular day. My brother suggested that we should go to Cebu instead. Well, I protested because it is my life-long dream to go to Palawan and check out the famous underground river. I got that swag so they agreed!

I immediately booked our flight to Puerto Princesa on Cebu Pacific. For the trip, I chose this package.

We stayed in Hotel Dolce Vita
Our room

Pick-up time for the city tour was 2:30pm so we didn't have much time to rest and roam around the place.

Day 1:
Baker's Hill
Iwahig Penal Farm

Crocodile Farm

Mitra's Ranch

This is the most tiring day of all! I didn't really enjoy it much, probably because I lacked sleep and we didn't have time to rest. We were planning to eat at Kinabuch or Kalui but then we were so tired we just decided to eat at the hotel. Oh and BTW I bought pasalubong for my family and friends. Hello dream catcher!

Day 2:

Someone called mom and told her the van will arrive at around 7:30 in the morning (which is so early I haven't adjusted my body clock yet.) But the breakfast was so delicious it woke me up. Kuya Albert, the tourist guide was really funny. I've also found out that couple Julius and Janice were with us again (It was awesome! I like them). The trip to the underground river takes 2 hours according to Kuya Albert. So what he did, he took us to a side trip at Ugong Rock. My brother and I climbed the cave but didn't dare try the zipline (I was scared alright! It was too high for me D:)

After that, we went to Sabang(?) beach and ate lunch. Cheers to buffet! I ate a lot. Really. Then we headed off to another side trip: Mangrove Paddle Tour. My mom was really scared because Kuya Albert told us there are snakes and other ~creatures~ lingering in the place.

@ Sabang(Not really sure but it's near Sheridan and Daluyon) Beach

Mangrove Paddle Boat Tour

The highlight of our trip was the underground river. My dream came true. It was really fulfilling. Took us 20 minutes from the shore to the island and 45 minutes for the tour inside the cave.

IT WAS REALLY AWESOME! THE GIGANTIC CANDLE, THE CATHEDRAL(grabe I was mesmerized with it, ang ganda talaga), THE FACE OF JESUS CHRIST, MARY, THE CUTE MUSHROOM, etc. Our tour guide was hilarious! And when he stopped talking, I kind of want to freak out because it was so dark and quiet. I was inlove with this freaking river! So awesome.

We ate at Ugong Rock Resto.

Day 3:

We didn't wake up early so we didn't have the time to eat breakfast because the van was waiting for us.

We had our first stop at Pambato reef. The coral reef. WOW. Greatawesome (Yes, ONE WORD). Snorkeling FTW!

Then we went to Snake Island and Pandan Island. Experienced the best massage ever!

We told Kuya Ray (the driver) to take us to Kalui. They served very delicious food. The eggplant dish was out of this world! And and the tuna sashimi was really fresh and tasty.

This is the best vacation I've had.
